Paris has always been, and not only in my mind, a stunning city full of elegance and classy people. Now, that I finally got the chance to visit it, I found out the truth. Paris is much more than what can be seen in those pictures on the internet. It’s a whole different world. A beautiful world!
The plane landed in Bauvais, a historic cathedral city in the northern French region of Picardy, at around 9 a.m. Believe it or not, I wasn’t really excited about this trip, maybe because I was missing my boyfriend or maybe because my mind, or the weather, kept on making me feel like it was 7 p.m.
As soon as we arrived in Paris, I started taking a lot of pictures! The streets are different, actually, everything is different. One of the first things I’ve noticed is the fact that there are a lot of people who choose the scooter/bike instead of choosing the car. Le Palais des Congres, a concert venue, convention center and shopping mall with a metro station and…Starbucks! I really needed a coffee after not being able to sleep the whole night, on my way to Bucharest. I only managed to get 30 minutes of sleep while flying to Paris.
From “Le Palais des Congres” we tried to find the hotel where we were supposed to stay for the next few days. Of course we didn’t find it, in the first place, only after asking people where the street is and taking metro after metro. Finally, we found out that our hotel was near the “Notre-Dame-De-Lorette” metro station.
Every single woman was nicely dressed, with stilettos, flats, skirt…and there was me, wearing like 2 pair of socks, boots, and at least 5 shirts and a jacket, but I was still freezing. There, people all are interesting. Even when they are hurried, they’re still classy. One thing they always have with them are headphones.
I have a lot of things to tell you and a lot of pictures to show. More – in the next post that will be up as soon as I can 😀
I wish you all a great week!
